Malmesbury isn’t just about beautiful skylines and chocolate box views… we’ve got a busy and vibrant social calendar and all sorts of projects that happen in the town.

We’re known for hosting popular music and food festivals including WOMAD, Boondocks and BBC History events and we have lots which started right here. The much loved carnival, art exhibitions, street theatre, films at the Town Hall, acoustic nights, late night shopping, local markets, and even zombie walks… (to name just a few!) We’re also lucky enough to have the beautiful 12th century Abbey where you can attend spectacular concerts and take part in the fantastically unusual transformation as it becomes a temporary skate park – open to all!

The town is bursting with ideas, entrepreneurs, local businesses, new startups, fresh talent AND events, so whether you’re a resident (want to be?) or just visiting, there’s always lots going on. History is important, but don’t be fooled… there’s lots happening which is far from historic!
