Meet the Leadership Team
Sarah is a committee member of the Residents Association and has 25 years of experience working in Social Housing. This experience included managing Customer Services teams and responsibility for large maintenance contracts. She is currently taking a career break and relishes the opportunity to contribute to her local community. She has lived in Malmesbury for 8 years.
Mark is the Retail Branch Manager of Malmesbury Waitrose.
Katherine is the youngest member of the Town Team and is keen to give the younger members of the community a voice. She is a full time college student and is working towards her A-levels, which are taking her in a scientific direction. When she is not studying Katherine works in a retail establishment in Malmesbury.
Gavin is a Malmesbury Town Councillor. He represents the Town Council on the Town Team. Before retiring Gavin was Chief Executive of the RSPCA and now chair of a local charity, HEALS of Malmesbury as well as being a Trustee of the Friends of the Westonbirt Arboretum. Gavin’s business career was in communications, latterly as the UK Chair of the global PR company, Burson-Marsteller.
Rob is an independent business consultant and mentor and has an extensive background with full P&L experience at board level across a broad range of mid-luxury retail and wholesale market sectors, products and business models. His client portfolio includes both multiple and independent retailers and suppliers and he has recently specialised in offering detailed research, insight and business solutions within the charity retail sector. Rob has lived locally in Wiltshire for 11 years.
Gordon is currently Managing Director with The Retailer Group. He has extensive experience in mainstream retail, working for major high street brands. Most recently he has focused on sports retail, town centre regeneration and start-ups. He’s lived locally for over 18 years.
Campbell joined the Town Team in 2016. Campbell’s career has combined HR leadership and business development roles including starting and building an HR consultancy providing services to a large number of small and medium sized employers, which is now part of a leading accountancy company. Campbell has lived in Malmesbury since 2012 but before that was a regular visitor to family living here for over 35 years. Now retired, Campbell became a Malmesbury Town Councillor in 2017.
Ash has been farming for nearly 30 years and worked part-time in the Old Bake House for 10 years before taking over the family farm 2 years ago. He brings to the team his knowledge of the rural economy and its importance to the town.
John was invited to join the Town Team as a representative of Malmesbury Abbey, given the Abbey’s importance to the Town’s community and heritage. A local resident for 19 years, he leads the Abbey’s maintenance oversight team. His day job is consultancy, mainly in the construction/infrastructure sector, following a long career as a Royal Navy engineer.
