Malmesbury won the prestigious accolade of ‘Wiltshire Town of the Year’ 2015 from Wiltshire Life at a ceremony held on Friday 23rd January in Devizes. Our Mayor Sue Poole attended the ceremony and was delighted to receive the award for the Town.
Robert Peel, also from Malmesbury was placed 3rd as ‘Photographer of the Year’ & Emily Clarke from Malmesbury won ‘Young Person of the Year’. Judges had to examine every aspect of town life, from the quality of the shops and restaurants, local job opportunities, support for young people, strength of community and co-operation between businesses and representatives.
