Malmesbury in the First World War. Fifteen personal stories told at locations around town. Trail Guide with FREE BOOK from Tourist Information Centre at the Town Hall. (Available from 1st August).
A once only event. Hear the World War One stories of 16 local families and their soldier sons told by volunteer guides in period costumes outside the houses where they lived. Tickets are just £6:00 each which include Trail Guides for up to four people and a free copy of WW1 book ‘Our Glorious Dead’ by author Charles Vernon (while book stocks last). Tickets available now and on the day from Athelstan Museum in Malmesbury Town Hall. Organised by Malmesbury Civic Trust and Athelstan Museum to help mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One. Don’t find yourself saying you missed it!
